Our honourable chairman sir sri kailasji jain, in a informal communication, gave an wonderful idea of Leveraging whatsapp for educational purposes. and*it kindled my interest in to it . No one can deny that In recent years, technology has revolutionized the way *education is delivered and received.
With the widespread use of smartphones, *messaging apps like WhatsApp have become an integral part of our daily lives.
Leveraging WhatsApp for educational purposes can offer numerous benefits, enabling educators to engage students and parents effectively. Our Hasti school has strategies to use WhatsApp for education to foster a collaborative and enriching learning environment.
1. Creating WhatsApp Groups for Classroom Communication
One of the most straightforward ways to leverage WhatsApp for education is by creating dedicated groups for each class or subject.
Teachers can use these groups to share important subject wise information , in the form of question of the day( one or two questions to which students can submit answers and correct answers will be posted by coordinator or subject HOD,) Moral education, study material for competitive exams*.,entrance tests and interviews etc. General knowledge, interview questions, geographical information which will definitely help students to prepare and *parents to update their knowledge, in this age of competition.
2. Encouraging Discussion and Collaboration WhatsApp groups provide an excellent platform for fostering discussions and collaboration among students, share thought-provoking articles, or even conduct virtual debates on relevant topics , through a well organised system devised by school . This not only encourages critical thinking but also helps in building a supportive and engaged learning community.
3. Sharing Multimedia Content to enhance the learning experience. Teachers can share educational videos, infographics, podcasts, and other visual materials via WhatsApp. This approach caters to different learning styles, making the educational content more accessible and engaging for students.
