In this blog, I am sharing my thoughts related to learning Spoken English,

this is my personal point of view and you can totally disagree with it, but i will be happy if it benefits some people.

 Learning to speak English is a big business in our country. Especially * it has a little more craze in smaller cities. You will see ads related to English Speaking everywhere, ” * Learn to speak English in 90 hours,, *Join XYZ School of Language ” etc* for fluent English.

But are these schools really that effective? Maybe not! Because they already set wrong expectation! It is very difficult to speak a language easily by learning only 90 hours. Yes, it is possible that after going there for a few days, you will become a little more fluent than before,

So let’s first share with you some myths related to speaking English

1. Grammar should be good to speak English : This is a very big myth, you yourself think that when you learned to speak Hindi / Marathi, did you know about nouns, pronouns, etc.? Did not know, because it was not needed at all, you just learned by watching and listening to others. Similarly, knowledge of Grammar is not necessary to speak English.

2.English can be learned to speak in a few days : Wrong ! It takes time to learn any language other than your native language. How long will it take, it will differ person to person. But I believe that if someone already knows a little bit of English and makes a dedicated effort, then he can learn to speak good English in 6 months. And if you are still learning then don’t learn improvised, learn good English.

3. Only those who study English Medium can speak good English: This is also wrong. Talking about myself, my friend has studied in Hindi Medium, but today he works as a Senior Consultant and writes and speaks very good English.

4.It is necessary to have a good vocabulary to speak English : No, the vocabulary is as good as it is, but generally the words spoken in common-speak, you will already know or a little hard work By this you will know them. 1. Make your environment English : The one thing that is most important in learning any language is our environment*, our environment.  3. Make a Mentor: Mentor someone who knows English well, a friend of yours, a relative, a neighbor, an English-learning institute….Anyone who is ready to help you . You need to get as much help as you can from your mentor.  7. Use Mirror : I knew how to speak English but I also lacked fluency, to correct it, I often used to stand alone in front of the mirror and speak in English. And still, if I have to give a presentation or interview, then I prepare myself by practicing in front of the mirror once or twice. That’s why you have to show some courage here, keep your interest and your enthusiasm. For this * you put some innovation in your activities related to English. You can also take a break of the day, and can start your mission again with renewed vigor.

 My friend’s 3 year old nephew was watching Chhota Bheem cartoon with great pleasure, I noticed that the language of the channel is set to English. I think this is a good way to learn English, cartoons made for kids have simple language and the accompanying animation makes it easy to understand. You can also use this method.
